Highlanders vs Crusaders: 40 a 20 para os imortais contra os cruzados
Em 2019, após o massacre da Auckland que matou 60 pessoas em duas mesquitas em Auckland por um atirador de extrema-direita. Discutia a mudança do nome do Crusaders por causa do termo se referir as legiões das cruzadas onde cavaleiros europeus combatiam os exércitos muçulmanos pelo controle de Jerusálem. Mas hoje, o dia foi diferente.
No primeiro jogo de rugby pós-pandemia na Nova Zelândia foi um jogo entre Highlanders vs Crusaders. Tanto que foi permitido a presença do público sem distanciamento social devido as medidas sanitárias adotadas pelo governo da primeira-ministra Jacinda Ardern. Ver os torcedores em Auckland mostrava um sinal de alívio em meio as restrições.
O jogo foi interessante em um primeiro tempo equilibrado onde o Crusaders e os Highlanders procuravam fazer as phases mais próximas da linha do try. Isso permitia que as jogadas fossem por passes curtos e mais rápidos. A velocidade era essencial em um momento onde os jogadores sofriam um desgaste físico com o tempo frio no inverno neozelandês.
Mas ficou claro que Will Jordan, dos Crusaders, foi o comandante da vitória ao perceber brechas na linha dos Highlanders no segundo tempo. O cansaço bateu a porta dos imortais como se fosse no filme Highlander onde víamos a figura do ator francês Christopher Lambert interpretando um cavaleiro escocês na Idade Média como é o simbolo dos Highlanders.
O jogo entre Highlanders vs Crusaders mostra que é possível organizar eventos esportivos com público se medidas drásticas forem tomadas o mais rápido possível. O Super Rugby poderá organizar partidas tanto na Austrália quanto na África do Sul tendo o modelo neozelandês como o padrão para as próximas partidas. Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
